Thanks so much to all those who submitted a proposal for inclusion in this years event! We received more than 80 submissions which, in addition to vendor and SIG sessions, will allow us to be extremely selective with our content for this year. We’re also looking forward to a diversity of talks, both in terms of subject and format.
Submissions are currently under review. Accepted submissions will be notified in the coming weeks, and the schedule released as soon as possible following speaker confirmations. Please look for the schedule announcement by the third week of June.
For those who still wish to be involved in this year’s talks keep an eye here and in email for announcements regarding the unconference. The unconference sessions will allow attendees to add timely and relevant talks to the schedule once they arrive at the conference. More information on this to come!
Thanks again to all who submitted sessions and we look forward to sharing the schedule soon!
The UNC CAUSE 2019 Call for Proposals is now open! The conference will be held October 1st – 3rd at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, NC. To submit a proposal and learn more about this year’s conference, please visit: https://2019.unccause.org/call-for-proposals/.
The deadline for proposal submission is 5pm on Friday, May 31st, 2018.
This year, the Program Committee is looking for proposals relating to one of the following tracks:
- Customer Support & Engagement
- Infrastructure & Operations
- Leadership & Professional Development
- Security & Compliance
- Teaching & Learning
This year we really want to try to use our content and presentations right by utilizing different types of talks. Do you have interesting content, but in bite-sized pieces? Propose a “lightning talk!” Did you work on a project with colleagues at other institutions? Consider a panel discussion! Maybe you participated in a poster session and you’d like to share it? We really want to encourage content in any form, and we’ll be working to be more flexible about content types for this year’s schedule.
UNC CAUSE is continuing a permanent, multi-year theme of More than a Conference. Some of you may remember this theme from a few years ago when UNC CAUSE launched the SIG Program. The planning committee for this year’s conference would like attendees to focus on networking and building relationships with attendees from other universities to keep the conversation going all year. After all, that’s what UNC CAUSE is all about!
Registration for the conference is also now open and remains just $95 (until September 16). Visit the Registration page for more information. Set aside some of that year-end money to get registered now!
